At The Pixie Dust Avian Rescue, we believe that pets are more than just animals - they are family. That's why we are committed to providing the best possible care for your winged friends. We believe in treating every pet with love, respect, and compassion.
Our Rescue
At Pixie Dust Avian Rescue, we specialize in aging and medical surrenders. All birds are evaluated by a veterinarian and receive necessary medical care. Aging and medical surrenders are typically permanent surrenders however at times may be available for adoption.
In addition, we accept birds in need of re-homed rescue that may require training and behavioral rehab before they are available for adoption at completion of evaluation and veterinarian clearance.
Our Feathered Family
We coordinate with local private breeders that have gone through an evaluation process to ensure the breeder is meeting all standards and regulations. All breeders are required to be State Licensed and regulated by the USDA. We interview and visit each breeder's location to ensure all birds meet our standards of health and safety and ethical breeding processes. This aids in preventing over breeding, poor conditions, education, and ethical preservation of the breed.
